Imbizo focus week

The National Imbizo focus week took place on the week of the 7th – 11th April 2015 under the governments five year theme “Together we move South Africa Forward”. The aim of the Imbizo focus week was for government to have an opportunity to unpack the pronouncements of the State of the Nation Address and to advance awareness and understanding of the National Development Plan vision 2030 which seeks to promote multi-sectoral collaboration between all sections of society and effective leadership by government on matters affecting the country and its people.
As part of the Imbizo focus week, Koukamma Municipality hosted the Minister Senzeni Zokwana of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the 11 April 2015 at the Woodlands Sports fields. His engagement with the communities focused on challenges facing the Angling Forum and found strategies of addressing them so they can have fishing rights on the marine protected areas within Koukamma.
The Imbizo focus week saw political principals across the spheres of government engaging in dialogues with community members and stakeholders across the country.
